Important Dates To Consider
We strongly encourage students to apply and be admitted as early as possible, keeping in mind several important dates for students seeking to start in the fall:
November 1
To be among the first students to receive a financial aid offer
March 1
To be eligible to sign up for Admitted Student Weekend (first chance to register for classes!)
June 1
To be eligible to attend our final summer registration events on campus, jumpstarting your transition to becoming a Wildcat
Admission Requirements
- Academic requirements: Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.6 on a 4.0 scale (freshman student) or 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (transfer student)*
- Personal requirements: Applicants must agree to abide by the University's community guidelines and behavioral expectations
- First Time Freshman Required Documents: In addition to a complete application, applicants are required to request from their current or most recent high school, an official transcript be sent to IWU. NOTE: While not required for admission, if any dual credit classes have been completed from a college or university, those official transcripts must come directly from the college/university to IWU for consideration.
- Transfer Required Documents: In addition to a complete application, applicants are required to request all official transcripts from colleges or universities attended be sent to IWU.
* If your academic performance falls below one or more of the listed requirements, an admissions counselor will request additional information regarding your academic history.
** International students have additional requirements. Homeschooled students must submit a transcript with GPA on a 4.0 scale and signed by a parent.
